Selam Woldemariam | House Manager

Selam is a dedicated professional in long-term recovery with experience in advocacy, client relations, and program management. Selam brings a compassionate, culturally informed perspective to her work, fostering inclusive and equitable systems to support individuals on their recovery journeys.

As the House Manager, Selam is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where residents can focus on rebuilding their lives. With expertise in motivational interviewing, care coordination, and organizational management, Selam ensures that residents have access to the resources and guidance they need to achieve their recovery goals.

In addition to professional experience, Selam is deeply committed to community outreach, developing grassroots recovery tools and building The Tesfa Project, an organization dedicated to mental health and substance use education for Eritrean and Ethiopian communities. Their balanced approach, strong communication skills, and personal understanding of recovery inspire trust and empower residents to take meaningful steps toward lasting change.

Chad Jackson | Co-Founder & Operations Manager

Chad Jackson is a co-founder of Ardan Community Living. Based on his own recovery experience with addiction, he has served as the Executive Director of two different Intensive Outpatient Programs and worked with treatment facilities to get them ready for their Joint Commission Certification. Chad also advises companies on the merits of investing in recovery facilities and helps bring together financing and innovation in the recovery field. Currently, Chad is a Certified Arise Interventionist (CAI) and a Certified Peer Coach in the District of Columbia. He holds a Masters Degree in Addiction Policy and Practice from Georgetown University.

Séamus Miller | Co-Founder & Chief Executive Advisor

Séamus is a co-founder of Ardan Community Living. He lives and works in Washington, DC, where he is active in the performing arts and recovery communities. Séamus holds a BA from Cornell University and an MFA in Shakespeare from George Washington University. He credits sober living with saving his own life and being a critical step in his recovery journey.

Thanks to his recovery, Séamus now has a full-time, international career as a theatre director, but he continues to support Ardan in an advisory capacity.
